The bathrobe, or robe as it is called, is definitely a very versatile item of clothing. Robes can be used as part of our pajamas, when getting out from the shower, or from the swimming pool and spa. Most people prefer a new one to take with if they need to spend some time in hospital, and most enjoy receiving one as a gift.

Many women have more than one bathrobe hanging in their closets. For many they are somewhat like shoes in that there is no such thing as having too many. Whether you are intending to buy a new robe as a gift for someone, or you are planning to buy one for yourself, you can have your pick.

THE HOODED BATHROBE

When it comes to seasonal gifts nothing can beat a long, thick hooded bathrobe in winter. Of course, it can be used when you climb out the shower or even after a quick dip in the pool on a chilly day.

THE BALLERINA ROBE

Unlike the luxurious hooded bathrobe the ballerina robe is considerably different. These are usually made from a thinner material and only come to the knee. Naturally a lot of women like using these robes beside the pool and at the spa. For summer it is great, because you can wear them without getting too hot, which you would in a hooded robe!

THE FULL LENGTH ROBE

This is usually the robe one finds in hotels, spas, etc, and most women own at least one of these as well. The Robes are available in a wide range of different fabrics such as terry cloth and various other luxurious materials like satin. Generally they can be either thick and heavy, or light, and make use of a sash in the same fabric to keep it wrapped closed around the body.

BATHROBES AS GIFTS

There are lots of reasons why you should consider buying a woman in your life a robe. Perhaps as a going away present if she is off on a vacation. As already mentioned they make excellent birthday or Christmas gifts so perhaps that is why you are considering buying one. And let us not forget that a new mum would also appreciate one as she heads into hospital to have her baby.

Whereas when making a choice of a bathrobe as a present for the love of your life, this is not a difficult thing to do,always consider some things before making your decision. Obviously, if she lives in a particularly warm place you should not give her a thick hooded bathrobe! Also, you must think of her tastes. Buy her one in her favorite color. And, if possible, you should also determine that the style you choose is different to what she already owns.
